Brussels, (Brussels Morning)- Brussels Mobility is carrying out some road works during the summer months. Work is planned on the Outer Ring R0, near Erasmus, the entrance to the Inner Ring at the Groenendaal Kruispunt and the E40 in the direction of Leuven. In addition, asphalting works are planned throughout the Region and STIB is working on new tram tracks.
On the weekend of July 8, the R0 will be provided with a new layer of asphalt between kilometre markers 54.45 and 55.50. The left lanes are first, followed by the right lanes.
Subsequently, an expansion joint of viaduct 25 is also being tackled at kilometre point 55.50. Work there will start on 11 July and will take six weeks, says BRUZZ. Traffic on the E19 in the direction of Mons/Charleroi has to use two lanes, traffic on Erasmus in the direction of R0/E19 has to follow a diversion before the ramp to Sint-Pieters-Leeuw.
Between July 4 and August 31, the Flemish Region is also carrying out road works on the entrance to the Binnenring at the Groenendaal intersection. There, the right lane and the driveway will be closed during the road works.
From 13 to 15 August, the two right-hand lanes of the E40 towards Leuven will also be asphalted between kilometre point 1.2 and the Evere-Woluwe exit. In the direction of Leuven, the Reyers-Montgomery tunnel will then be closed and traffic will have to detour via Meiserplein.
Smaller road works: from asphalting to sidewalks
In addition, Brussels Mobility is also planning all kinds of smaller road works. There are asphalting works at the Jamblinne de Meuxplein and the Plaskylaan, the roundabout at the Stallestraat, the Marius Renardlaan, the Wereldexposlaan, the Sint-Hubertusdreef.
