Qatar, (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Many organisations are baselessly blaming Qatar for discrediting Qatar football world cup 2022. Qatar has been accused of human rights abuses, of being a terrorist state and of bribing FIFA officials to host the world cup. Qatar has denied all these charges and has vowed to host a fair and transparent world cup. Qatar has also been praised for its hosting of the Asian cup, which was a success.

False Allegations on Qatar

Recent allegations are nothing new. Qatar has been facing such a situation for a long time.On the 20th of September, 2014, a number of young men and women stood in front of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in London, to protest Doha’s support for the “Hamas terrorist” movement. Although the matter seemed normal and nothing new in it, especially since the protesters are members of the “Friends of Israel in Sussex” group and another newly established group called “The Forum of the Israeli Working Group”.

However, what was remarkable in the scene was the demands of the demonstrators who chanted against the International Football Association “FIFA”, and demanded its officials to raise the red card in the face of Qatar. One of the organisers of the movement, Mark Lewis, told the demonstrators: “Let ( FIFA president, Joseph) Blatter know that this demonstration is only the beginning of a campaign that will continue until Qatar is stripped of the 2022 World Cup.”

The demonstration, despite its small size, small number of participants, and even the lack of interest in the British media in it, as the organizers hoped for it, coincided with another press “demonstration” led by the “Sunday Times” newspaper affiliated with Rupert Murdoch’s media empire, and was represented in publishing a series of news that took place in Its entirety is about accusing the State of Qatar of paying bribes amounting to 3 million pounds to officials of the International Football Association “FIFA” in exchange for voting in favor of granting Qatar the right to host the 2022 World Cup.

Qatar’s Response To Allegations

The State of Qatar has been the subject of a series of baseless allegations made by international media outlets in recent months. These allegations have ranged from accusations of Qatar supporting terrorism, to claims that Qatar is working to destabilize the region. Qatar has categorically denied all of these allegations, and has taken steps to respond to them.

In June of this year, Qatar’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, gave an extensive interview to the Guardian newspaper in which he addressed each of the allegations against Qatar. Sheikh Mohammed made it clear that Qatar does not support terrorism in any way, and that it is committed to combating extremism. He also rejected claims that Qatar is interfering in the affairs of other countries, and stated that Qatar is open to dialogue and diplomacy.

In September, Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, gave a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in which he addressed the allegations against Qatar. Sheikh Tamim reiterated Qatar’s commitment to combating terrorism, and stated that the country is open to dialogue and willing to work with its neighbors to resolve the current crisis.

To begin with, Qatar has engaged in a wide-ranging media campaign to provide accurate information about the country and dispel the myths and falsehoods being circulated by its detractors. This campaign has included full-page advertisements in major international newspapers, as well as television and social media ads.

In addition, Qatar has reached out to key international stakeholders to brief them on the true situation in the country and dispel the misconceptions being spread about it. This has included meetings with senior officials from key countries, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, as well as international organisations such as the United Nations.

Evaluating The Situation

The charges against Qatar are baseless and are being used to discredit Qatar’s world cup bid. Qatar has a long history of being a peaceful and tolerant country. It is home to many different religions and cultures. Qatar has also been working hard to improve its human rights record. The world cup will be a great opportunity for Qatar to showcase its progress.

Qatar has been accused of bribing FIFA officials to host the world cup. These charges are unsubstantiated and are being used to discredit Qatar. Qatar has a strong case to host the world cup and has the support of many countries.

The world cup is a global event and should be used to promote peace and understanding. Qatar has a great opportunity to do just that.
