Four suspects were arrested during searches at driving test centers in Brussels and Wallonia. Detectives from the federal judicial police made the arrests in an investigation into driver’s license fraud. Ten people were arrested in a similar action in October.
The Central Anti-Corruption Service of Brussels FGP raided several driving test centers and a driving school on Wednesday. “These searches were once again aimed at persons suspected of forming a network active in corruption and issuing false documents to obtain a driver’s license,” the Brussels public prosecutor’s office said.
Two of the four arrested suspects were arrested after questioning by the investigating judge. “They were suspected of bribery of public officials, association of criminals and forgery,” the public prosecutor’s office said. “One of the two suspects was also charged with money laundering.”
It is not the first police action in the investigation into driver’s license fraud. On October 10, ten people were arrested during house searches in Brussels and Flanders.
