Latest-Travel-Restrictions-for-COVID-2022

Brussels (Brussels Morning) Starting on December 26, 2019, Belgian authorities implemented COVID-19 measures for international and domestic travel. All travelers arriving in Belgium were required to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLR), which was validated upon arrival. As of 2022, most restrictions remain in place If you plan to visit the country during this time period, you must present the results on day one. This allowed the authorities to determine the origin and country of your vaccination. It is also important to note that the restrictions will extend to non-residents, but will not affect Belgian residents.

Unvaccinated travelers should take the PCR test at least 72 hours before arrival and pass the rapid antigen test within 24 hours of arrival. Vaccinated travelers will also be required to take the COVID-19 test on days one and seven after arriving in Belgium. Those who do not meet these requirements will be required to stay in quarantine until their COVID 19 test is negative. Fortunately, Belgium has many travel insurance companies that offer travel cancellation insurance.

If you’re traveling to Belgium with your children, you must take a COVID 19 test. These tests are available online and can be taken as early as 72 hours before arrival. Otherwise, you’ll have to undergo a PCR test within 72 hours before arriving. If you’re flying to Belgium, you’ll need to get a rapid antigen test on the day of your arrival as well. Once you’ve passed both of these tests, you can take the COVID-19 test on day seven.

If you don’t have a valid vaccination certificate, you can still travel to Belgium without quarantine, but only in exceptional circumstances. In these rare cases, you’ll be subjected to a 7-day quarantine upon arrival. The guidance for testing is complex and changes often. Consult the Belgian Embassy to ensure you’re not breaking any rules. The restrictions for public health travel are extremely strict. However, you can follow the guidance in order to avoid unnecessary problems.

In general, U.S. citizens are allowed to travel to Belgium without an Essential Travel Certificate, but you will be required to show proof of your vaccination certificate. You’ll have to prove your vaccination certificate before you can leave the country. A COVID 19 vaccination certificate is a necessity to enter the country. In case you’re not sure whether you’re required to have this certificate, you’ll need to take a test at the Belgian Embassy to make sure you don’t cross the border.

In addition to a passport, travelers will have to take two COVID-19 tests. Those from red locations will need to undergo the COVID-19 test on day one of their stays. Those who pass the tests on day seven must self-isolate until they receive their results. Those who are in red zones may even be targeted by terrorists. Luckily, Belgium has a COVID Safe Ticket.
