A multi-award-winning popular visitor attraction set to woo a Belgium audience this Christmas and New Year.
Belgium, (Brussels Morning Newspaper) “Lightopia”, a spectacular light and sound show, has become a go-to Christmas experience.
This year, it also takes place in Belgium and in a setting almost as spectacular as the event itself: in the grounds of the Castle of Grand-Bigard, just north of Brussels.
For those looking to treat the young ones for Christmas the organizers have also come up with a hard-to-miss special offer: kids (aged between 4 and 15) are allowed in free of charge up to and including this Friday (23 December).
Tickets are sure to be snapped up quickly so the organizers say it is best to book as soon as possible.
This Christmas the Lightopia Brussels event will transform the spectacular grounds of the Castle of Grand-Bigard into a magical fairyland. As visitors follow a trail around the castle grounds organizers say they can expect to be dazzled and delighted by “beautiful installations, interactive displays, whimsical characters, and an awe-inspiring water show.”
Since 2019, the organizers of this event have made it their mission to provide the “most magical Christmas experience” and have now come to spread the Christmas cheer in Belgium. Lightopia is currently enchanting several cities around the UK and the plan is to expand worldwide so that everyone has the chance to experience the festival.
In 2021 Lightopia received no less than 8 awards at the 11th edition of the Global Eventex Awards (5 gold and 3 silver) and, in 2020, it received the City Life Award for Best Art Exhibition.
Lightopia Brussels takes place until 8 January and is easily accessible by car. The car park address is A. Gossetlaan 13, Groot-Bijgaarden and you can buy a parking ticket online or on the spot for €5 per car. The car park is only accessible on presentation of your parking ticket and for the entire visit. There is also a shuttle service available.
