BRUSSELS (Brussels Morning) – Winter or summer time, Brussels is always swinging. Take a look at the weekend tips, this time with a festival about contemporary dance and an exhibition about photos during the lockdown. But, the sight of  jazz and African music hasn’t been lost and here are the recommendations for a special children’s activity to start your weekend in the best possible way.

EXPO

‘View from my window’ is the name of a temporary exhibition in the Atomium. This exhibition consists of a selection of approximately 400 photos from hundreds of thousands of images. It is an initiative of the Belgian graphic designer Barbara Duriau. On March 23, 2020 she was in Amsterdam. She wanted to have a good time during the lockdown. So she started a Facebook group where each member could submit a photo of the exterior view of their home. Interested in the rest of the exciting story? Then the exhibition is definitely for you.

FESTIVAL

La Raffinerie and the Hallen van Schaarbeek are hosting the LEGS Festival. It aims to bring together dancers and artists who will highlight the past and rich heritage of their domains. Someone to keep an eye on is the French choreographer Mathilde Monnier. Her Lebanese colleague Alexandre Paulikevitch is also a special guest. He bends the traditional cabarets of his country to his will.
