2. Weakness or Numbness in the Arm or Hand

 A Pancoast tumor can compress the nerves that run from the spine to the arm and hand, causing weakness or numbness.

3. Horner’s Syndrome

 Horner’s syndrome is a collection of symptoms that occur when the tumor compresses a nerve called the sympathetic trunk. Symptoms may include drooping eyelids, small pupil size, and lack of sweating on one side of the face.

4. Chest Pain

 The tumor can cause pain in the chest, especially during coughing, sneezing, or deep breathing.

5. Cough

 A persistent cough may be a sign of a Pancoast tumor.

6. Shortness of Breath

 The tumor can also cause shortness of breath, especially during physical activity.

What Can You Do if You Have Shoulder Blade Pain?

Shoulder blade pain can be caused by a variety of reasons, including muscle strain or poor posture. There can be even more serious conditions like a herniated disc or heart attack. Here are some steps you can take if you are experiencing shoulder blade pain:

  • Rest and avoid activities that may have caused the pain. This can help prevent further injury or strain
  • Apply ice to the affected area for 20-30 minutes at a time, several times a day, to reduce inflammation and swelling
  • Take over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen to relieve pain and reduce inflammation
  • Try stretching exercises or physical therapy to improve flexibility and strength in the affected area
  • Maintain good posture and avoid slouching, which can put a strain on the muscles in your back. If your pain persists or worsens, consult with your doctor or a physical therapist

Where Is Shoulder Pain Located With Lung Cancer?
