1.Valletta

Valletta is one of the most fun cities in Europe. It is located in the southernmost European capital. As Malta is a country consisting of towns and villages, Valletta is the only capital that can qualify as a city. Despite being a capital city, Valletta is tranquil and values culture and heritage.

There is no active nightlife as the UNESCO World Heritage Site has imposed certain obligations and restrictions. The city is still bohemian is rich in culture. 2. Harbour Area

If you are looking for a more active social life, then you should find a place near the Harbour Area. This area is known for the Greater Valletta as it is situated near the Grand Harbour. It is one of the most fabulous natural harbors around the world.

The harbor area is one of the most sought-after areas and includes interesting places like St Julian’s and Sliema. There are also three cities located near the Harbor area. They include Grand Harbour: Vittoriosa, Senglea, and Cospicua.

3. Swieqi & Pembroke

West of St. Julian’s, lying inland, is known as the town of Swieqi. It is the best residential area and is just 15 minutes by bus from Sliema. This is also a walking distance from Paceville and St. Julian’s. Due to its location, the area is very popular among the local upper-middle class. The location offers the best amenities and facilities and makes the life of the people living there comfortable and convenient.

It is located on the north of Swieqi lies and is near the coastal town of Pembroke. The residents of Pembroke can enjoy the facilities of both the neighboring towns.

The coastline of Pembroke is not developed and rocky. There are several paths suitable for hiking and there are also trails that lead to the historical Madliena watchtower.

4. Mellieha, St Paul’s Bay & Buġibba

Mellieha, St Paul’s Bay, and Buġibba are the best towns that are great for the expats moving to the north of the island. This area also attracts a lot of expats. Mellieha is popular with British retirees. It is also famous for its beaches and offers some of the best picturesque scenery.

The area epitomizes old-style Malta and consists of a lot of towns including the neighbour Il-Majjistral Nature and History Park. It also has a ferry connection near the island of Gozo. You can find a lot of older houses and new developments around the area. It is suited to various tastes and budgets and is generally a bit cheaper than Mellieha.

The best thing about the town is that it has proximity to both St Paul’s Bay and St. Julians. This means that the Madliena residents can take advantage of the beaches and the entertainment and shopping centers.

The town of Madliena originates from the 15th-century Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene. The Victoria Lines, Madliena Fort, and The Batteria San Giovanni are all close to the local attractions. If you love beaches and urban life, then this place is the perfect choice for you.
